The Communicator was a Panamanian flag registered ship, ( the Ross Revenge also was Panamanian) and in 1984( if I remember rightly) the MV Communicator hit a sand bank and became stuck in Harwich - Essex, when coming near the port to pick up stores ( foods, etc).

The Consul of Panama in London, at the time, was informed, and received instructions to board the ship and retire the official papers. After this incident I have no idea what happened to the ship. But I think never went back to sea, and never made any further broadcast again.

I remember clearly this incident, as I was the Head of Shipping at the time and went with the Consul to the ship to collect the registration papers. It was a cold windy morning.

Shalom from Israel,

The ship you have in your pictures is the Ross Revenge and NOT the Communicator. The ship in the pictures belonged to Radio Caroline
