Site Redesign

July 5th, 2007 · 5 Comments

To all our readers,

We have been amazed at the success of gCaptain and have decided to increase the amount of resources devoted to this site. The first major change for us was hiring a web designer to overhaul the site as well as adding some new features. We started this process some time ago and are ready to install the updated site this week. This means that there will be limited content and possible a few bugs during this next week. Hang in there, as there will be more exciting posts in the near future.

I applaud this move. I love the site, but when I share it with somebody else and ask later “what did you think?”, I keep getting comments like “It was kind of confusing,” refering to the layout and site design. A good web/interface designer can do wonders to improve the user experience, assuming the content is solid to begin with, as yours is.

I really like the new site. I think it is easy to use although it will take some time getting use to it like most new things.
