Designed by Mr. Starck, “Motor Yacht A,” left, has six guest suites, two swimming pools, a disco and more than 100 speakers, as well as more than a dozen plasma TV screens.

The 390-foot yacht built for Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko is stirring up the boat world for its radical design, which comes as a slap in the face to an industry known for its classic conformity.
