    What about Restricted Visibility?

    The following comments came via email from our weather contributor Brad Snook;

    I've got to say the worst weather scenarios are often associated with a vessel being caught the “triple point” of a rapidly developing mid-latitude storm. The wind shifts and erratic sea conditions near the triple point, where the warm, cold, and occluded fronts meet can cause severe damage very quickly.

    The worst case scenario is to be caught near the triple point of a “bomb”, where observed average pressure drop of 1mb/hr for 24 hours.
