I love electronics and pretty much everyday I go to and electronic site called engadget.com I seen this product about 2 days ago on it. And today I was looking on the standard times website and seen that it was on the today show. I hope they will make a business near by to get this product put on.

The material that "Shellback" looks lke they are claiming is new, is actually Parylene. It is a vaccuum deposited coating developed back in the 1970's by Union Carbide. The leader in this Technology is called "Specialty Coating Sytems, Inc" and they have 9 coating service facilities worldwide in which they coat products as a service. If you google Parylene, you will see several companies that have had this technology for many years.

This is so cool!
Yesterday, a co-worker was commenting on why can’t cell phones be waterproofed. This morning I saw this story on the Today Show (that led me to here (thanks, google)). I am anxiously awaiting for this technology to be publicly available and affordable. Thanks.
