We received email that our last quiz was just too easy so we challenge you to try this…. the above picture shows something carried aboard certain ships that’s critical to the future success of this website. What is it?

Hint: It’s being covered today in the newspapers of our 4th and 5th favorite cities.

    I believe they’re the strands of an undersea fiber optic line (possibly one capable of handling 1.28 terabits per second?).

    I’d have to say that’s one of those wire thing-a-ma-bobs that connects to a erbium-doped amplifier.

    Well I guess I’m not first but I’m guessing that’s a fiber optic cable similar to the 17mm cable that’s going to be laid between Sydney and Hawaii.
