Maersk Stockholm Arrives in Genoa with Wrecked Hull of Team Vestas Wind

Not sure if all the king’s horses and all the king’s men can put Team Vestas Wind back together again… but we hope they do.

The hull arrived this morning in Genoa, Italy aboard the containership Maersk Stockholm and the world’s top carbon fiber construction experts at Persico Marine – located 200 miles inland at the edge of the Alps, will now move forward to piece her back together.

Last week, Team Vestas Wind announced they will move forward without navigator Wouter Verbraak and anticipate reconnecting with the rest of the Volvo Ocean Race fleet this June in Lisbon, Portugual.
