Wilhelmsen Ships Service – Supercargo Consultant

Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) is recognised as a global leader in the supply of products and services to the maritime industry. We aim to further strengthen this position by becoming a specialised supplier for tank cleaning products & services. In this respect, we are building a tank cleaning/supercargo team consisting of supercargo/cargo operations persons. The tank cleaning experts will participate in building up and developing WSS’s tank cleaning offer to become our customers’ problem solver when it comes to tank cleaning matters. Location for this position is open and to be agreed.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the market launch of WSS’s renewed tank cleaning concept
• Drive profitable sales growth through the implementation of tank cleaning consultancy services towards our existing and new customers
• Be the customer’s main point of contact for complex tank cleaning matters
• Coordinate tank cleaning consultancy jobs (locally and globally)
• Develop a network of preferred tank cleaning consultants on a global basis
• Participate in setting out the future strategy for the tank cleaning concept within WSS
• Ensure that local rules and regulations are continuously monitored
• Development of training packages for internal and external purposes

Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge of the chemical/product tanker market
• Extensive experience of cargo- and cleaning operations
• Good management and leadership skills
• Ambition and a strong desire to succeed in developing this business area
• Excellent communication skills
• Team player
• Outgoing personality
