FPSO Operations Manager – USA

Job Description:

Role

To manage all aspects of production and operation of a new major build FPSO. To be delivering into an extremely challenging ultra deepwater location with production set to commence in the first quarter of 2010.  Reporting directly into the VP for Operations you would be the key link between the operational site and corporate head office in Europe.

Responsibilities

• Technical responsibility for the operation of the FPSO itself and the shore based operations office and team.
• Responsible for the technical, safety, environmental and financial operation the FPSO and the operations shore base.
• Handling contractual and commercial issues related to the operation including the main contract with the client and contracts with suppliers
• Follow up the performance according to agreed key performance indicators
• Establish an operating budget
• Follow up the maintenance according to plans and Class requirements
• Establish contracts with suppliers for maintenance, procurements, agency services etc
• Follow up training and qualifications of the crew in cooperation with the VP Offshore Personnel
• Follow up HSSEQ issues
• Monitor that the Management System is used and updated
• Follow up purchasing and shipments in cooperation with the dedicated Purchaser
• Establish and maintain a good working relationship with the client
• Establish and maintain a good working relationship with the OIMs and supervisors and the Personnel in the operations office
• Report key activities and results to the VP of Operations
