Job Summary: Prepares procedures for estimating; monitors project activities for compliance, and prepares cost control reports.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: (*essential job functions) Analyzes requests, prepares estimates, and makes recommendations for project and process enhancements. Reviews and evaluates contractor compensation claims as to scope and price for acceptance.

Prepares contract fair price estimates and makes recommendations.

Responsible for preparing planning, conceptual, preliminary, and definitive types of estimates for projects.

Acts as liaison between field forces, Architect-Engineer, vendors, and contractors for changes in scope of work.

Assists in preparation of special cost and scheduling studies.

Provides material take-off and labor for cost control, productivity, assessment and procurement.

Establishes and maintains estimating files, price books and data base. Develop project estimates for a variety of work activities.

Review and approve vendor and contractor estimates Maintain a standardized fleet estimating process.

Job Specifications: Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of Company and industry estimating standards.

Working knowledge of PC and mainframe estimating and scheduling systems.

Familiar with industry estimating practices.

Qualifications: Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to work under pressure and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.

Provide inovative solutions and process improivements for complex issues.

Demonstrated ability to quickly understand the activity seqence of a varity of projects.

Education/Experience: Bachelor of Science or technical degree and over two years supervisory experience in heavy industry modifications activities or equivalent experience.

Competencies: Team building Customer Service Cost conscience Issue ownership

Other (including physical requirements, working conditions, etc.): Must satisfy General Orientation Training (GOT) to gain nuclear site access. Must meet requirements of NRC psychological testing regulations. >30% travel required
