Assistant General Manager Marine Transportation

A local vessel operations company is looking for a permanent Assistant General Manager Marine Transportation. The focus of this position is to manager daily vessel operations, personnel management and to constantly look for improvements of the operation while maintaing a safe work place. This position comes with great compensation and benefits.

Working hours: 9am-6pm

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
*Recruiting, hiring, training and supervising personnel to fill ashore and marine positions.
*In charge of Safety Management System Administration
*Manage dispatchers and understanding all functions of their job
*Handle all accounting and reporting
*Manage engineer staff
*Handle equipment repair and maintenance requirements
*Positively interact with other company locations, customers and the maritime community

Requirements:
*BA in Marine Transportation/Engineering or related field
*Vessel operations experience or prior shore side administration
*Minimum of 2 years industry experience
*Strong verbal and written communication
*Knowledge of tug operations and previous vessel experience
