General responsibilities: ” Assist with planning and implementation of the services provided by the Office of Career and Professional Services ” Assist with the planning and implementation of the Cooperative Education Program ” Provide career counseling services to students and alumni seeking co-op opportunities and permanent employment ” Assist with recruiting activities ” Assist with career workshops ” Collect and analyze data from students, alumni, and employers regarding placement ” Develop professional relationships with cadets, faculty, staff, alumni, and industry professionals. Participate in Academy functions such as Open Houses, orientations, registration, commencement, or reviews ” Participate on Career Services Advisory Board and the Facilities Engineering Advisory Council
Qualifications: Qualifications and requirements: ” Bachelor of Science degree in an appropriate discipline ” Five years of industry-specific professional experience ” Previous knowledge/experience in higher education and/or career services ” Ability to collect and analyze statistics ” Understanding of career development issues ” Proficient in computer skills: Microsoft Office ” Excellent interpersonal, administrative, and communication skills ” Understanding of the Academy’s mission Preferred qualifications: ” Ability to work in military-like environment ” Familiarity with Massachusetts and New England industry related to facilities and engineering, power distribution, and environmental technology (Membership in appropriate professional societies pertinent to industry would be helpful) ” Knowledge of Massachusetts General Laws under Chapter 146 ” Familiarity with Department of Public Safety inspections and stationary engineering licensing policies
Compensation: Salary: $40,000 – $42,000 annually FLSA status: Exempt
