Hi Everyone!

I was in Singapore sometime in mid 2007 and went back again 2 month ago. There is a great view of the anchorage from the East Cost park , a perfect background for a stroll by the way ,I used to walk along it, I even counted the ships back in 2007, over 120, the same number quoted in the article, so it might be a case of slow day and not much to report.

A. Great post and articles.

B. Also reference the Subic Bay Parking Lot: <a href="http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchive&sid=aIb2RKA.AWu8" target="_blank">http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchiv...</a>

C. Global Warming Solved?
[Begin Paste]
The bottom line: One giant container ship pollutes the air as much as 50 million cars. Yes, that's 50 million. Which means that just 15 ships that size emit as much as today's entire global "car park" of roughly 750 million vehicles.

Which part of the "steep slump in trade" is the confusing? If it is the slump itself then click the link and read the article. It makes it very clear why there is a slump. If it is anchoring the ships then it is because that is the least expensive thing to do. I don't understand the whole "I don't understand" thing.

Though I don't understand the whole “steep slump in trade" thing, these are some great photos. Something I'm guessing I won't see often.
