Hello Everyone!

So thanks to all the members in this forum and a lot of help from the NMC, I have finally converted all my military time into a 3rd assistant engineer - steam - licence and have landed my first job (working with AMO, headed to a SL-7 ship for a short stint in Baltimore)....

So to the point... I have no idea what to expect for taxes... In the military it was pretty straight forward. Now I have a ton of travel expenses, training, ect.... However most of these will be paid by the employer.... So my question is what advice do you have for Tax planning? What accountants do you recommend? and what receipts, mileage, travel, should I be keeping track of to keep my tax liability down next year?

Thanks for all your assistance,
-Matt
