Hmm. There was a recent episode (or spinoff) of “Cake Boss” that involved some sort of amateur competition to work with the cast of the show or something. People dropping their ingredients on the floor and everything. You might want to look that up to see if you can get a rise out of her.

Had to say, this is the most incorrect thing NO matter your point of view. If you're a "right winger" like me, and you die on a field in Iraq fighting for your country it sure as hell wasn't to protect some liberal atheist's right to insult your nation, insult your God, and insult your way of life. I'd put a bullet in his head sooner than take one for his "rights", albeit I prefer the Bible over the constitution which makes me a heretic to many. I am deeply disturbed that Christians in America hold up the constitution rather than the Bible as their spiritually guiding force in politics.

"Protecting rights and freedoms" is NEVER and HAS NEVER BEEN the job of a standing army, that is the job of the judiciary and to an extent perhaps the police.
If it WERE the job of the military to protect civilians' freedoms, they would be launching assaults on the 4th amendment denying, genital groping TSA any minute now.
Last I checked the army has only been called in to suppress civilians never "aid them" in taking back freedoms.
In fact, the army is prevented from speaking out on political issues, especially if it goes against Caesar, I mean POTUS.

As for Peter Brown, your logic on him going to Canada if he doesn't like the military, yet claiming the military protects "the freedom of idiots like him" is contradictory. You basically in one sentence say the US army is designed to support idiots' freedoms (which is idiotic to say), yet that those idiots should leave if they don't like said army.

And be careful saying people who don't like the US can leave because, first, it's not true: US citizenship is the HARDEST to remove and can NEVER be regained, not even military dictatorships have turned citizenship into an irreversible burden. Second, be careful because we might just leave, see Eduardo Saverin for an example. Or myself (took my business overseas because America has the highest corporate tax rate in the world, too many regulations. and frivolous lawsuits).

I watched the last couple of episodes the other night. Wow seeing a bunch of inept hippies cry was funny. I mean didn't they watch the other season when the Jap boat ran down the other trimaran. Then here they are with a different one and a rouge wave rips the pontoon off. What did you think was gonna happen with a fiberglass/Kevlar/plastic or whatever boat was gonna do at the south pole. My wife asks why I watch it if all I'm gonna do is yell at the tv. I tell her it's like a train wreck you can't take your eyes off of it. You watch it in aww like this is really happening. At least with Deadliest Catch they are vet sailors motivated by money and know what they're doing. This Sea Shepherd bunch actually pays money to Watson for the opportunity to almost get killed or maimed.

Highseasharry, you epitomize what's wrong with America. "poontang"? First, that's demeaning to women. Second, if you just spent a little bit of time trying to get to know a woman instead of viewing them as objects, you might just have one. And frankly, there's so much more to life. I'm tired of the pseudo-macho mindset of America. A real man doesn't need to act the way you do, because women are will follow a confident man who isn't so desperate.

And frankly, I doubt they are "getting any" from the "chicks" if you mean the young volunteers and for one simple reason: the last thing Sea Shepherd needs is a sexual harassment lawsuit and they'd get one as fast as you can blink (those are LIBERAL women, remember??). Besides, Paul is married and as an ideologue quite likely to be loyal if he chose that path (we ideologues on either side of the spectrum tend to be loyal to our ideals and Paul fanatically so), they seem happy together from what I gather.

I've had the urge myself. Better idea is to volunteer with the Japanese. But I speak fluent Japanese so it's easier for me. The problem with them is they hold their people back so much, so even if you volunteer they won't let you "at 'em". Believe me there are hundreds of japanese fishermen just itching to get at them. But really it's not worth that many months at sea. If you REALLY want to irritate Sea Shepherd, get a license to whale from a small nation NOT party to the whaling conventions, or heck just go to Norway where commercial whaling is legal and being increased rapidly (as it should be) on the overpopulated Minke whales.

Or just go to the Mediterranean and hunt Bluefin tuna, it's a better catch and a much more warm and comfy climate to fish in. The truth is Sea Shepherd seems to target the "small fry" and try to bully smaller nations. They won't dare mess with Norway for example. So all Japan has to do is either make it legal and thus sue Sea Shepherd for lost profits whenever they attack (guaranteed to lead to the Sea Shepherd's ships being seized) or send a military escort and just blow them out of the water as terrorists.

The US can't complain since the US blows up any foreign nationals they "suspect" of terrorism, whereas in this case Japan has proof.
