Default Pasha Bulker master- where is he now?

I've started this thread in an effort to locate the Korean master who was in charge of the Pasha Bulker when she ran aground in Newcastle five years ago. Anyone who knows the master's name or can point me in the right direction to find him- it would be greatly appreciated. Just wanted to try and speak with him and find out what he is doing now due to the upcoming anniversary- thanks all!

don't know about that accident but the clown that crashed the COSCO BUSAN into the Oakland Bay Bridge in 2007 wants his license back!

The newspaper report adds that Cota has been working shoreside for a tug company and hopes to regain his license and work as a tug captain, “or something else.” Cota and his team are considering all options that will allow him again to sail commercially, including considering a lawsuit.
Ino Cota was guilty of negligence in his duties as a ship pilot and should never be allowed to stand on the bridge of any vessel in a licensed capacity. Hell, I don't believe he should be allowed to operate a runabout. I think this vessel might be acceptable tho

Now he wants to sue for his license back...what an ASSHOLE! Did he get his big fat retirement from the SF Bar Pilots btw? If he did then double EFF him!

Check the NTSB website for the accident report. His info should be there. The USCG Marine Safety website should also have a copy of the investigation posted on it. If the do not, contact SECTOR SANFRANCISCO Investigations.

Why would the USCG or the NTSB have information on a Panamanian flagged, Japanese owned ship that ran aground in Australia?

The prudent mariner would go to the maritime administration of the port state where the incident occurred and the flag state which is charged with performing the investigation.

Try the Australian Maritime Safety Administration for starters.
