STRONG TEXAS (a little heavy lift ship) (can't find a photo on the net)
    STRONG AMERICAN (an ATB Ro/Ro)

btw, it was from Van Ommeren that that little puke Gudmundur Kjærnested stole the contracts to start his shitstain company, TransAtlantic Lines.

Any new news on the DOC being revoked there?
I met one of the other guys who was a head honcho at Van Ommeren in Stamford, he was a genuinely nice guy. I think he and his son went on to start another venture.

I think she went foreign, just before I started there in '01.

Now I know why I couldn't find a picture of the STRONG TEXAS...it was because I should have looked for STRONG TEXAN! DUH!

A nice little ship that made interesting voyages. It's really too bad she is gone.

I did my internship onboard. It was managed by Seabulk, but heard that may not be the case anymore. The food wasn't that great, at least from the one cook we had. No gym, but there are some free weights floating around. I ended up doing pull ups from some pipes in the engine room. There is a tv room with lots of movies. When I was there they had one email address for the entire crew with no internet, think that is still the same. Anything, other than that I didn't really get involved in. Just did my required time, since they only hire licensed guys, and moved on. It did do some interesting trips while I was there.

EOT Spar is underway. Just went by NOB, heading north in Norfolk Harbor Reach. Loaded with containers, empty chassis, and a nice looking boat.
