Towing vs. Commercial Assistance Towing

Just a quick question. Can I run a SeaTow type boat under my current license (500T Master Oceans Towing), or do I have to get the "Commercial Assistance Towing"? Thanks!

Your towing endorsement trumps the assistance towing license.

Yup. But it doesn't work the other way around. An assistance towing endorsement is NOT equal to a MOTV endorsement.

But I bet the seatow boat don't pay as well!

500 GRT even without Master Oceans Towing and you do not need the commercial assistance towing endorsement to run a sea-tow type boat.
