It would appear that both the 'official' PSA as well as the NATO response are 'just' as effective. Just MHO. These perpetrators cannot be reasoned with, negotiated, or 'asked' to stop pirating. This is such a base problem. It appears diplomacy is not an option.
You are correct in that currently there is no 'justification' to use deadly force. Tell that to the next victims. I bet you will get a different answer. It was mentioned in another thread that now this is not a priority by our govt. Until another American flag gets hijacked nothing more will be done.

I HATE government ineffectiveness, bloat, nimby, indecision and people who 'just can't make a decision'. Blech.
