Default Job outlook in countries other than US?

Hey everyone, first post here. I've been cruising the forums for a few weeks reading as much as possible. I'm planning on going to Paul Hall for training a to get my foot in the door.

But just out of curiosity, what is the job outlook for other countries? Specifically in Central America, New Zealand and Australia. I'm interested in living in those places, even if just for a few years. I plan on becoming a mariner even if I stay in the States, but was hoping to hear from people who have experience or knowledge of working out of those areas.
I know I'd have to acquire residency first, but will my training at Paul Hall and my sea time and experience working out of the States easily transfer to NZ, Aus, or Costa Rica, Nicaragua, etc.?

    Thanks in advance,
    Dan

It probably will transfer to Central america if you want to work for $50 per day or less. ANZI? Who knows?

Yeah, I guess I should have expected that about the wages in the Central America. I'd assume wages would be similar in Australia/New Zealand, though. I hear it's a real pain, or nearly impossible, to move to either of those countries unless you have experience in a job that they're in need of people for.
I'm going to try to e-mail some Australian shipping lines to try to find an answer on their job market.

I work for a Norwegian company on a rig that is flagged Singapore in the country of Mexico. The wages are actually better than the US.
There are those who can and there are those who will, which one will you be today?

Mariners work at sea and live wherever they want. No need to work "there" just so you can live "there".
