    Default difference between apprentice mate and 100 Ton masters test

    i already have my apprentice mate licenses and am going to test for my 100 ton masters. does anyone know the difference in these test. i heard it was the same but am not sure.

    The Apprentice Mate test is similasr to Master 200. Look at 46 CFR 11.910 in the column for Mate and Master 200 and pay attention to those subjects in the table that have the footnote indicating they are for 200 GRT only. The Master 100 test has all the subjects with an X and not a footnote.
