    Is Senior DPO time acceptable sea service for " equivalent supervisory position"

    I don't think the Coast Guard recognizes the term DPO. Any seatime should have OICNW, if in that capacity, while being a SDPO.

    Typically the the "equivalent supervisory position" refers to service as a commissioned officer in the Navy, Coast Guard, Army (Corps of Engineers), or NOAA. As a commissioned Deck or Engineering officer you can obtain qualifications that correspond, and will transfer, to a commercial license.
