upgrade question, GMDSS, Radar

Very simple question. If you hold a general radiotelephone operators license and a GMDSS license with the FCC, as well as a "ship radar endorsment/certificate" does that count for the courses you need to upgrade to 500 ton master NC? I have a feeling I know the answer but I would like to check with all of you to have your input.

Per MCP-FM-NMC5-67 (500/1600 Master Checklist) you will need the following:

Approved Basic & Advanced firefighting courses; (unless previously met)

Unlimited or Limited (AB Special or AB-OSV satisfy the
AB requirement for Officer endorsements permitting service on vessels of

Theyt do not qualify for getting a GMDSS operator endorsement on your STCW as they do not have practical assessments of competence. But, if you do not have GMDSS you can still get STCW, it just won't be endorsed for GMDSS and you won't be able to work on a vessel w. GMDSS
