Quick Assesment Question

I know that CMM-Unltd assessments have to be conducted by a U.S. unlimited tonnage Master or Chief Mate, but does anyone know if the vessel they are conducted on has to be unlimited tonnage?

It says on most of the control sheets that the assessment has to be done on a ship of at least 3000 gross tons (ITC). On the ones that it doesn't specify, well, it doesn't specify, and I can't find it anywhere in the policy letter. Use your best judgment.
