    Default NMC West Virginia.....What gives?

Is there another step or avenue that a mariner can take to find out why it is taking so long to get an application for an upgrade approved. The evaluators have a stone wall there now with this call center. There has to be someone else that we can contact to find out what the hold up is. Needing to ask my supervisor is not my idea of a good excuse. It sounds like about 5 minutes of someone's time. Meanwhile I am in limbo....do I test in November.....do I test in December or will it be 2010? These evaluators have a checklist and if it is not on the checklist or it involves a little reading it may not get done. We all know that there is no one checklist that covers all license requirements. If anyone has any information that they can share on this please make a post....if you don't want the world knowing send me a private message. Thanks, Lee

I always cc Capt. Stalfort on my emails to my evaluator(s). That seems to help.

There seems to be a thick wall around the evaluators ..I finally was able to get to mine from a source here on Gcaptain...

I may be wrong...It's my understanding that the contract evaluators get paid by how much paper they are able to move..If that is true then it doesn't leave much time for chit chat..
