Default Looking for advice from Pros.

Now that I am possibly being denied reenlistment in the Navy, I am about to snag up my Master/Mate 200gt licenses in hopes for future employment on the outside while remaining at sea. I love the sea and would never be happy with a 9-5 GS job.

I had originally wanted to venture into the Yachting industry, but apparently that is a dry hole for the time being. So can anyone tell me a maritime industry that is in demand for someone with a Operations Specialist skill-set and a Master/Mate 200gt license?

You may want to check out the Navy ship assist tugs on Puget Sound. They're manned by civilians, veterans all, and it is a pretty sweet gig. They hire from time to time.
