Hello All,

I'm taking an economics class and for a research project we are to looking a piece of current legislature. Of course I choose H.R. 528 the Short Seas Shipping Act of 2009. More information can be found here and here.

So, in the interest of helping me out with a class and possibly learning something I would like you to take a poll with some thoughts taken into account. Do you believe that there is a risk to the Jones Act if this bill is passed into law, based on this article (I know it is opinion, but I need something to go off of here ). On the other hand do you believe that the benefits will outweigh the risks?
