Medical check from USCG

I am in the process of filling out my application for my third mates license. I took Adderall briefly to see if it would help. I did not like it so I stopped taking it. I was wondering if I dont list it on my medical form would they find out about it? I paid for my doctor visits out of pocket but used my insurance to pay for the adderall. Will they check you expenses in your background check?
