NMC processing time

I have to admit that the processing time has come way down at the NMC. I emailed a scanned copy of my application packet to the REC in Seattle on a Monday; they processed it and forwarded it to the NMC on the same day. I noticed the change in status on the web site one week later and called the help line. They said the determination letter was being mailed, but they kindly read a copy over the phone and then sent a scanned copy via email. It was excellent service, and all in 5 working days!

I didn't get the answer I had hoped for, but that is a different matter. A few years ago I had to wait over a year to get a final determination (also not the one I had hoped for).

Now we'll see how long it takes to process the request for reconsideration.
