Re: Lapware Program
Rule of thumb:
If you can pass all tests generated by Lapware with 90% for the license that you are sitting for, you are ready for the Coast Guard. Study till you get to that point, and produce about three full mock tests when you think you're at that point - sit down and take them.
Capt.Joe's is good (mainly, because of price), but I never liked the inability to track progress and redundant study. Never had the time for that crap.
Lapware will allow you to go through custom license databases - answer questions, and not ever see them again (if you got them right), if you choose - and the ability to only review those that you've missed along the way. Always good to concentrate on the key areas where you're weak.
On Capt. Joe's - if you missed a few questions within a certain "subject" module, you have to reanswer all of the ones you got right again, just to get to the ones you missed......
I always felt like I went to McDonalds, ordered a burger in the drive-through, paid - drove around the building, ordered a large french fry in the drive-through, paid - drove around the building again to get a damn drink. I guess it will all get you there, but I always preferred the lapware.
