    jeffrox,

I work on the WPEX (guess which department). Anyway, I don't know if there are any "ins" or not as usually they just post the jobs for the boat on the web but if there's a way to IM on here I can give you my e-mail or vice versa.

My two sons got on crew boats as OS's with no credentials by visiting one company's office every other day to a point that the office asked not to visit so often but they ignored the request and got hired soon after which I'm sure gave the office the much appreciated break. Be persistent!!

CaptAnonymous- heard from kaipo at Sause- no openings. Seems like a nice guy though

I got two messages today- one from Cruisewest- one from Dann Bros towing in Maryland.

I have a phone interview with Cruisewest tommorrow. Cruisewest goes beautiful places- and it's pretty easy compared to most other types of vessels- but only pays $110 day.

Dann is interested but wants to see copies of my mmd/Driver's license, etc.

Anyone know anything about Dann? Salary? Rotations? Good management?

    Default Cruise West

Don't do it!...small pax vessels are heading for the dumper and you would be just prolonging the day when you have to get away from them. Keep going after tugs (including Dann) get your license and MOTV endorsement and you'll have something marketable in a sector of the maritime industry which is here to stay come good times or bad. This nation likes to use tugs & barges to move goods by sea and that isn't gonna change so you can't go wrong.
