    Default Getting back to work

I'd like some advice, if you can. I want to get back to work and would like to sail sometime around January, 2011. By the time January rolls around, I'll have Master 100/Mate 200 Inland, AB-Special, and PSC endorsement to STCW.

A few years ago, I worked as a deckhand on tugboats; got a few hundred days sea service out of it.

Here's what I'd like to do. I want to come up through the hawse and get my 3rd Mate Any Gross Tons Oceans. Naturally, for offshore work I'll have to start off at the bottom of the barrel. That Master/Mate Inland won't do too much good, and AB-Special won't be good either until I can get RFPNW.

Who do I have to talk to get started going out on ships? Any leads would be helpful. I'll go anywhere and do any job (almost) to get my foot in the door.

Any ideas on where to get started?

    Thanks.
