Curious if any of you use LinkedIn as a professional social site to organize contacts and the like?
www.LinkedIn.com
If you don't, I would highly reccomend joining and organizing yourself with a professional layout. Esp. since this pops up on google searches when employers google you.

Yes, and you raise a good point about Google searches.

Actually, this is a good intro into the next question. What are your favorite groups on LinkedIn?
A good one and probably the most active in terms of maritime affairs is Maritime Executive with almost 4,000 members.
Of course gCaptain has a group also, Maritime Technology & Digital Shipping, with an embarrassing 262 and Dynamic Positioning Operators and, most interesting to everyone here, Merchant Mariners.

Added you on LinkedIn. Thanks for the group info. I just got setup on this site last night and am already loving it from all of the contacts that I am finding and starting to make!
