Default NEED TO BUY a Ship's Bell, A full size one... Anyone have any ideas?

Just got a phone call from a friend of mine at one of the drilling contractors, and he needs to buy a full-size ship's bell and get it engraved. He's looking for a real deal bell. Anyone know where you can order something like that?

I hate to say this but I think the last place on earth a new real ship's bell can be found is in China. That's where the one for the BULLY I can from and it was properly cast and engraved with the ship's name although it didnot have a very deep ring. I have no idea of that company but try Alibaba.com(?) or just Google

Try US Bells in Prospect Harbor Maine. (usbells.com) China is taking over the world. The bell there might be a little expensive but they are hand made to order. Let me know if you go with them or not. I do not have a dog in this race but am tired of EVERYTHING coming from china.

It's funny. I inherited one of these, 1950's vintage. It has been collecting dust, overwound and hasn't worked in decades. I think I may have to take it to a clock shop to be looked at.

I saw McShane foundry on Dirty Jobs a while back. Looked like a cool place with a lot of history making bells over the years.
