The very large disturbance over the eastern North Atlantic has developed into Tropical Storm IGOR with max winds of 35kts. IGOR formed just south of the Cape Verde Islands and is forecast to gradually strengthen and become a hurricane as it continues moving westward over the next few days. Longer term, IGOR is expected to move more west-northwestward and eventually could threaten ship traffic over the southwestern North Atlantic between Bermuda and Puerto Rico.
