Default Soutwestern Atlantic Disturbance Update Monday 5/24/10

The extra-tropical low pressure area over the Southwestern North Atlantic estimated near 27N 71W is now producing strong to gale force winds and seas (Forces 6-8) to the north of the center and appears to be drifting north to northwestward slowly. The National Hurricane Center is saying that there is a 30% chance that this system could become a sub-tropical storm during the next 2 days.
