Default Current Weather Routing example for Atlantic GC Routes

    Tuesday June 9th updated
The current weather situation over the North Atlantic offers an example of when the CG route from North Europe to USNH is a good choice. For the next few days a strong upper level jet will be situated from west to east between 40N and 45N latitude keeping stormtracks mostly southward of 50N latitude. The GC from the Channel or via north of Scotland to south of the iceberg fields will avoid most of normal rough head weather experinced at these northern tracks.
