3rd engineer license

Can we still take the Coast Guard test for the License or do we have to attend the Acadamy? I've heard that we can't sit for the test anymore.

I have heard of talk about doing this for awhile, but I dont think they have implemented any thing yet. As long as you have your paperwork and time, you should still be able to test
