what are the new requirements for original 3A/E license?

Hi, I've heard that after april this year there are new rules to obtain a 3rd license. I looked on the official CG website but could not find anything. Is it all just rumors or CG didn't update their website?

I don't think the new requirements have been decided. The last I heard was simulator training would be required. Last year, AMO was encouraging engineers to upgrade before any new requirements were implemented.

From what I understand now, the 3rd and 2nd is a combined exam. You upgrade to 2nd with no exam after 1 year on your 3rd. This streamlines the process as there were only minute differences between the 2 exams. Good luck!
