It froze up my computer several times, had to reboot to get running again. Started using google chrome, hasn't happened since.
When I try to log in to Gcaptain main page I am having trouble with screen lockup, it gives me a message that scripts running on the page are causing computer to slow and may cause problems...
I've started going directly to forums to avoid this, but was wondering if this is happenning to others.
Just been happening in the last few days, I'm running windows XP with slow ISP so maybe it is just me....
Just thought I'd mention it,
Thanks

Let them who know not how to pray, go to sea.

I assume everyone is using IE (Internet Explorer)?
I only mention this because IE is very difficult for us to program for, Chrome or Firefox, will give you the best performance on gCaptain as well as most other sites. Here's the article I wrote on browsers: http://gcaptain.com/speeding-slow-in...nections?29989
That being said we do want the site to work on ALL browsers, including IE, our only problem is figuring out the cause of the issue.
If anyone is expert in using IE and can find the specific error that is causing the problem.... we would appreciate the help.
Otherwise.... standby while we fix the problem.
Yeah, I loaded Chrome also, so far so good (much better). I cant standby for IE.
Thanks

Any update to this problem? I'm on IE 8.0 at work across a T1 and it is excruciatingly slow to load and seems to create runaway processes and memory load. I don't have the option to change browsers either since everything is locked down for us schmucks.
