New gCaptain Search Engine

Another feature we recently implemented is gCaptain site search built on the google search engine. We had this before but only on the homepage... we have also added a few features.

The bar is located in the upper right hand corner of the site:

Once you enter a search term you are brought to the results page. The engine searches every page of the site so if you enter "AHTS Captain" you notice that the first 5 results are AHTS Captain listings from our job board...but.. if you refine the results for the "gCaptain Forum" you will only see results for this section of the site. Lastly, you may also use the forum's built in search found here:

The difference is that google finds what it deems to be the best answer regardless of the post's age... while the forum's built in search just matches words and lists the results in chronological order.

This new feature should help you find older posts that are more relevant to what you are looking for!
