Ever wonder where drillship crew workers come from?  Either way, a former shipmate on the Transocean’s drillship Discoverer Americas mapped it.  Shown here is the geographical distribution of the crew’s home town.

Under contract with Statoil, Discoverer Americas has been drilling in Egpytian waters, but is en route back to the Gulf of Mexico to drill a new well at the Logan prospect, 219 miles off the Louisiana shoreline, south of Houma.
