At 0641Z on 17 January, Cyprus-flagged M/V EAGLE reported being under attack 430nm east of Socotra Island by one skiff with six persons on board.  Vessel was fired upon with small arms and RPGs.  With no citadel, the crew mustered on the bridge and attempted evasive maneuvers.  Pirates gained access to the bridge at 0702Z.  UKMTO confirmed M/V EAGLE hijacked at 0744Z   (Source: UKMTO WK)
