		<description>Seems to me that automatically launching flares might not always be the brightest idea.  What if you were on a product tanker that broke in half and has left a slick of jet fuel over the water?  I guess there&#039;s some situations where flares might not go over so hot (or maybe it would depending on how you look at it).</description>

I think you are better off getting a waterproof VHF radio and personal strobe first.</description>
