		<description>Mark, that reminds me of something else about EPIRBS - If the antenna isn&#039;t out of the water, the signal strength is greatly diminished.  So you might have to tread water with one hand above your head, holding your epirb out of the water.  If your EPIRB doesn&#039;t float upright (most of the PLB variety do not) than you need to find a way to keep it well above the surface. </description>

		<description>Nice Post, wish I had the information early to buy stock in the &#039;406 GPS loaded provider companies, as it appears as the low end market isn&#039;t worth diddly, unless one is really really proficient at treading water.  Then again, if I was sitting in the exec suite, I would be looking at the letter of the law and buying the low end product.  After all, treading water is a skill taught in sctw&#039;95   </description>
